Hollywood Stars Michelle Williams, James Franco and Zach Braff Walk the Broadway Boards (VIDEOS)

Why is Sam Mendes back in New York with "Cabaret?" Michelle Williams. She's the talk of the town as she makes her Broadway debut as song-and-dance ingenue Sally Bowles opposite Alan Cumming in Roundabout's revival of the dark musical "Cabaret," directed by Mendes, a prolific stage director before foraying into film with his Oscar-winning debut "American Beauty" in 1999. (Watch a clip from "Cabaret" below.) While many Hollywood stars are packing up their bags and moving to television, a few A-listers are heading to a new arena: Broadway.

Review: Likable 'Oz the Great and Powerful' Is Overstuffed With Digital Wizardry

Disney’s “Oz the Great and Powerful” is a $190-million prequel to the turn-of-the-century L. Frank Baum 14-book series. Directed by Sam Raimi, the film is bloated in length and overstuffed with digital 3-D wizardry, yet somehow manages to be a horse of a pleasing -- if not particularly different -- color.

'Oz the Great and Powerful' Super Bowl Teaser

Disney ran a TV spot on Sunday night's SAG awards for Sam Raimi's big-budget revisit of L. Frank Baum's wonderful world of Oz (March 8), entitled "Oz The Great and Powerful." Produced by Hollywood vet Joe Roth, the movie stars Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz and Michelle Williams as a trio of witches, wicked and otherwise, and James Franco as a hapless Kansas circus magician who somehow becomes a wizard. I have no problem with reentering this wonderful world--brought to the screen in the classic "Wizard of Oz" musical starring Judy Garland, Ray Bolger et al. The wizard in that film, caught behind the curtain, was played by Frank Morgan.
