Tina Fey Talks Her Post-'30 Rock' Career, 'Admission,' and Oscar Hosting

A few weeks ago I went to see Tina Fey's latest movie "Admission" (March 22) on the same night that I watched the last episode of her seven-year NBC sitcom "30 Rock." Fey is a fascinating example of a pioneering woman who has become hugely successful while playing inside the box of what men can handle without being threatened.

Andy Samberg's Tasteful Indie Spirit Awards Monologue, 'Bad Lip Reading,' 'Beast It' and Skype Audition Sketches [Video]

Andy Samberg got it right. The SNL alum hosted Saturday night's Independent Spirit Awards, the penultimate show before Sunday's Oscars, and he led the evening with perfectly goofy candor. Everyone played along and the audience reaction shots were actually a pleasure to watch -- a contrast to Sunday night's Oscars.

Magnolia Picks Up David Gordon Green's 'Prince Avalanche,' Plus Review and Roundup

Magnolia Pictures is a good home for David Gordon Green's low-budget Sundance entry "Prince Avalanche," a two-hander starring Paul Rudd and Emile Hirsch shot in 16 days in Austin's fire-ravaged Bastrop State Park. The distrib has acquired North American rights and is aiming at a summer release.

David Itzkoff of the NY Times paid a summer visit to Judd Apatow on the Brentwood-mansion set of "This Is 40," the director's holiday-slated mid-life-crisis comedy following the marriage of Pete and Debbie of "Knocked Up." Apatow, Leslie Mann and Paul Rudd talk insecurity, "perfect" onscreen married couples and filmmaking as relationship therapy.

In the Works: Paul Rudd in Talks to Team with Tina Fey for Collegiate Comedy 'Admission'

Paul Rudd might join Tina Fey in upcoming collegiate comedy "Admission." The impish actor would add a light-hearted dash to Tina Fey's signature wry style. Owen Wilson was previously considered for the role, but the LA Times reports that it is more likely that Rudd will co-star.
