Lionsgate Takes Anton Corbijn's Spy Thriller 'A Most Wanted Man,' Starring Philip Seymour Hoffman

Lionsgate has snapped up US rights for spy thriller "A Most Wanted Man," starring Philip Seymour Hoffman, Rachel McAdams, Robin Wright and Willem Dafoe. The film is helmed by Anton Corbijn ("The American"), and adapted from the novel by John Le Carre.

Corbijn's 'A Most Wanted Man' Wraps, Heads for Berlin or Cannes UPDATED

Looks like footage from Dutch filmmaker Anton Corbijn's John Le Carre adaptation "A Most Wanted Man" will be screened at Berlin in February and Cannes in May in advance of a fall release by Focus Features. The movie, Corbijn's follow-up to international thriller "The American" (also released by Focus), stars Willem Dafoe, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Rachel McAdams, Robin Wright and Daniel Bruhl.

In the Works: 'A Most Wanted Man' Starts Shooting with Hoffman and McAdams

Anton Corbijn's adaptation of the John le Carre thriller, "A Most Wanted Man," began principal photography this week in Hamburg. The film stars Philip Seymour Hoffman, Rachel McAdams, Willem Dafoe and Robin Wright. Corbijn ("The American") directs the film, which Australian writer Andrew Bovell ("Lantana") adapted for the screen.

VENICE: 'The Master' Press Conference; Cruise & Anderson Still Friends

Despite an enthusiastic reception as he entered the room, Paul Thomas Anderson held up his reputation as elusive prey at "The Master" press conference in Venice, and his two stars Philip Seymour Hoffman and Joaquin Phoenix were happy to fall in step behind him. In fact, Phoenix barely said a word, dragging on a cigarette, offering a couple of mumbling replies and even leaving the room for a spell. But there were still nuggets to be gleaned.
