Robin Williams Time Special Issue Out Friday, Packed with Tributes (VIDEO)

Time is putting out a special commemorative issue on late actor comedian Robin Williams, who succumbed to depression and took his own life on Monday. Due on Friday, August 15, the magazine is packed with tributes from Alan Alda, Patch Adams, Lewis Black, Dick Cavett, Richard Corliss, Margaret Cho, Gilbert Gottfried, Nathan Lane, Bill Maher, Jim Norton, James Poniewozik, Joan Rivers, among others.

RIP Robin Williams, Dead by His Own Hand at 63 (UPDATED)

Robin Williams, age 63, after having checked into a rehab center in June, was found dead by hanging himself Monday, according to police in Marin County, Calif. In a statement his publicist Mara Buxbaum said the actor had been "battling severe depression of late."

Lionsgate Likes 'The Angriest Man in Brooklyn,' Starring Robin Williams, Mila Kunis, Peter Dinklage and Melissa Leo

Lionsgate has snapped up North American rights to Phil Alden Robinson’s comedy-drama “The Angriest Man in Brooklyn,” starring Robin Williams as a man informed while at the hospital that he only has 90 minutes to live. Mila Kunis, Melissa Leo, Peter Dinklage and Hamish Linklater also star.

Casting Watch: Williams Lines Up Two Movies to Start in July and September

Robins Williams has signed on to shoot two back-to-back movies. First up, he plays president Dwight D. Eisenhower in Lee Daniels' next film, "The Butler," which is scheduled to begin filming later this month in New Orleans.
