First Look: Two Julianne Moore Flicks, 'The English Teacher' and 'What Maisie Knew' Hit Screens in May

Julianne Moore is on a roll, winning a Primetime Emmy, SAG, and Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a miniseries or television movie for her ringer portrayal of Sarah Palin in "Game Change." And the actress has two movies coming out in May—a loosely adapted Henry James novel called "What Maisie Knew" and "The English Teacher."

Sundance: IFC Films Picks Up Michael Winterbottom's 'Look of Love'

IFC Films has taken North American rights from Studio Canal to Michael Winterbottom's "The Look of Love," which premiered January 19 at the Sundance Film Festival. The film stars Steve Coogan, Imogen Poots, Anna Friel and Tamsin Egerton.

Sundance Sex in Cinema: Gordon-Levitt's 'Jon Don's Addiction,' Winterbottom's 'The Look of Love'

Michael Winterbottom's "The Look of Love" is hardly the most daring of the sexually explicit movies on display at Sundance this year. Joseph Gordon-Levitt made his debut as writer-director with "Don Jon's Addiction," a New York blue collar comedy in the vein of "Saturday Night Fever" in which JGL's version of Tony Manero is a bartender who hangs with his posse at clubs on the prowl for high-rated pussy (her face is a 9, her tits are a 4 etc.)

In the Works: Stephen Frears to Direct 'Philomena,' Starring Coogan and Dench

Stephen Frears has signed on to direct the Steve Coogan and Jeff Pope-penned "Philomena," a mother-son drama starring Coogan and Judi Dench. The script is an adaptation of Martin Sixsmith's "The Lost Child of Philomena Lee," and follows the true story of Sixsmith's wife's search for the son she gave up for adoption.

Trailer Watch: 'Ruby Sparks' is Hipster Pygmalion with Paul Dano, Zoe Kazan

Fox Searchlight reveals the poster, promo photos, and a trailer (posted below) for their latest quirky number - "Ruby Sparks" - with Paul Dano and Zoe Kazan. Directed by Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris, "Ruby Sparks" tells what amounts to a hipster pygmalion: a young novelist (Dano) suffers from writer's block and love life woes, until he starts to write a character so adorable that she manifests.
