WATCH: First Trailer for James Brown Biopic 'Get On Up'

A first trailer has arrived for the James Brown biopic "Get On Up," starring Chadwick Boseman (who played another African American icon, Jackie Robinson, in last year's "42") in the title role. Tate Taylor of "The Help" is directing, while Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer (Oscar nominated and Oscar winning for "The Help," respectively) have all reteamed for this new film. Watch below.

Jessica Chastain & Ned Benson Talk the Long Road to TIFF Hit 'The Disappearance Of Eleanor Rigby'

One of the unforeseen but delightful surprises at this year's Toronto International Film Festival was "The Disappearance Of Eleanor Rigby." I must confess that, stumbling bleary-eyed into its first 9 am press screening, I did feel slightly concerned about the 190-minute running time of writer-director Ned Benson's debut.

Universal Sets 2014 Release Date for James Brown Biopic 'Get On Up,' Starring Chadwick Boseman UPDATED

UPDATE: Universal has set an Oscar-friendly 2014 release date for its James Brown biopic, now titled "Get On Up," starring Chadwick Boseman ("42"). It will hit theaters on October 17 of next year.
