Phase 4 Picks Up 'Precious' Producer Siegel-Magness' Directorial Debut, 'Long Time Gone' with Virginia Madsen

Phase 4 Films has acquired US and Canadian rights to "Long Time Gone," the directorial debut of "Precious" producer Sarah Siegel-Magness. The film stars Virginia Madsen, Amanda Crew, Zach Gilford, Anthony LaPaglia and Eva Longoria.

AFM: 'Hot Flashes' 'Bridesmaids' Of a Certain Age?

The older demo is starting to look appealing. "The Hot Flashes," starring Brooke Shields, Darryl Hannah, Virginia Madsen, Wanda Sykes and Camryn Manheim, screens at AFM on November 3. The film seems to be aiming for a middle-aged "Bridesmaids" vibe, and follows a group of five Texan women who start up a basketball team in order to beat the local girls' high school team and raise money for breast cancer.

Jon Avnet, Rodrigo Garcia Launch Web Series and Shorts to Explore 'Female Characters'
