AFI FEST has set its dates and call for entries for the 2014 edition of the fest, running November 6 -13 in Hollywood.

Submissions are now open, with filmmakers invited to submit their narrative, documentary, experimental, animated and short films at the AFI FEST website or through Without A Box.

This year the fest has two deadlines - early and final submission dates for both short films (under 30 minutes) and feature films:

June 27 - the early submission deadline for both features and shorts;

August 8 - the final submission deadline for both features and shorts. (The Academy recognizes AFI FEST as a qualifying festival in the Oscar Short Films category.)
