AFI FEST 2012 (November 1-8) has announced its gala and special screening presentations. Highlights include more-than-likely Oscar contenders "Life of Pi" and "Silver Linings Playbook," with buzzy selections from previous festivals including "The Impossible," "West of Memphis" and "On the Road." Festival bookenders "Hitchcock" and "Lincoln" were previously announced. Full list below.
