The riveting first trailer for J.C. Chandor's Cannes hit "All Is Lost," starring Robert Redford, has landed. In a practically solo -- and near wordless -- performance, Redford plays a man lost at sea following a devastating accident.

Reviews out of Cannes were strong -- check out our roundup here. The film is Chandor's follow-up to 2011's "Margin Call." Redford was last seen in his helming venture "The Company You Keep"; following "All Is Lost," he'll be back on the big screen in 2014 for "Captain America: The Winter Soldier."

The film hits theaters October 25, primed and ready for Oscar season.
