Check out The Social Network co-star Andrew Garfield as a slim, bountifully-haired Spider-Man, complete with a skin-tight bodysuit. The untitled Columbia Pictures Spider-Man Reboot, directed by Marc Webb, opens July 3, 2012.

After the jump are more pictures of Garfield and his Gwen Stacy, Easy A's Emma Stone, kissing on set.

I don't understand the hate for Andrew Garfield! Yes we are all used to Toby and yes he is the character we are going to be comparing Andrew to but come on guys what happened to having a bit of change? The whole point of this movie is to have a new and different take on Spider- Man not stick with the well known nerd look. So yes I am into Garfield being the new 'slim' Spider-Man.

I hope Andrew Garfield's career falls apart after this stupid @#%$&@*# movie fails and he goes away and stops playing parts he has no business taking away from good actors like Toby!
He is not Spider-Man. He will never be Spider-Man. And his costume looks like a piece of crap.

Ehh, this cat is really slim. I mean I"M slim but he's like...EXTRA slim. And even though Tobey was a lil wimpish in the last two movies, he was still a damn fine spiderman and he was the spiderman i grew up with. Parker wasnt 'spossed to be "hip" and "wit-it". He was 'spossed to be a bulked up nerd who kicked some serious ass. Eh, but I'll still see the new films. Only to see if this kiddo can try and live up to the REAL part.

This will suck. The movies nowadays are kindergarten shows. Blah. Give me Tobey any day of the week. This sissy is just too much to take.

Looks cool. He is slim, but I think it's safer to go with a slim actor rather than one that slims up for the films, ala Tobey Maguire. In the last two installments, he became increasingly....fat.
