On June 18, Profiles in History, run by Joe Maddalena, will put The Debbie Reynolds Collection up for auction at The Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills. Debbie Reynolds has over 3,500 items in a collection of props, costumes and memorabilia that has been building for over 40 years. These are treasures from the Golden Age of Cinema and a true representation of Hollywood history that will never be seen together again.

Our first release detailed fabulous costumes worn by the likes of Barbra Streisand, Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe and Judy Garland but the iconic male stars will be represented as well. Major pieces include,  Frank Sinatra and Gene Kelly's dark blue wool navy sailor uniforms with medals and caps from Anchors Aweigh, both with their names handwritten on the MGM labels in the tops. Gene Kelly also has three beautiful costumes from Singin' In The Rain up for auction, his "Don Lockwood," green and ivory square patterned jacket with matching pants and shoes from the 'Fit as a Fiddle' number, his pewter brocade cavalier period jacket with rhinestone buttons, grey suede shoes and silver metal buckle from the 'Dancing Cavalier' scenes and his pink, heavy tufted-pile wool, gag sport coat with baby blue and maroon "crazy quilt" overstitching, worn in the 'Gotta Dance' Number. Cary Grant will also be making an appearance with his "John Robie" gray wool sport coat from Alfred Hitchcock's To Catch A Thief, the internal label is marked CARY GRANT APRIL 1954.

Other unbelievable men's costumes up for auction include Marlon Brando's "1st Lt. Fletcher Christian" grey satin quilted robe and complete naval outfit from Mutiny on the Bounty, also from Mutiny is Clark Gable's ivory wool vest and pantaloons.
