The 2013 Brit List, the Black List of the UK, has sent out its annual round-up of the 15 best unproduced screenplays in Britain. Stephen Fingleton's "The Survivalist," a dystopian drama set in a bleak future where an isolated farmer teams with a woman and her 17-year-old daughter, has made the top of the pile, based on nominations from producers, agents and distributors.

Fingleton is a first-time feature screenwriter, with past IMDb credits of two short films he wrote and directed.

Also included on the list, in second place, is a "bold new adaptation" of Charles Dickens' "A Tale of Two Cities," by David Farr (co-writer of Joe Wright's "Hanna"). The adaptation of Emma Forrest's novel "Your Voice in My Head," along with a screen version of Laura Wade's hit play "Posh" also make the cut.

The Brit List was created in 2007 as a means to draw attention to deserving projects that haven't made it to the big screen.

A script has to receive three or more votes to make the list, and be penned by a non-US screenwriter.

More info on shortlisted screenplays and the number of votes received is here.
