The Weinsteins are trying get the actress to star in "The Ends of The Earth," for which they recently acquired rights. The project, penned by "Argo" scribe Chris Terrio, is a "fact-based love story about a powerful oil tycoon Ernest Marland, who has everything stripped from him after he is caught in an affair with Lydie, his adopted daughter."
Lawrence is also wanted for "The Glass Castle," which Lionsgate is producing, and is attached to Sissy Spacek's adaptation of Julia Oliver's novel, "Sweet Tea," currently in development. The days of Lawrence having to star in B horror movies are long gone, though "House at the End of the Street" is out next, ready to capitalize on Lawrence's popularity (September 21). She's having her cake and eating it too with two successful franchises and her pick of the indie projects (save "Lie Down in Darkness" which went to Kristen Stewart).
The Weinsteins are handling "Silver Linings Playbook," which could yield Lawrence's next Oscar nomination. Trailers for "Playbook" and "House" below:
