Well, we heard it was coming -- and, sure enough -- the animation branch rejected Pixar's "Cars 2" and Steven Spielberg's "The Adventures of Tintin" in favor of two hand-drawn European indies: "A Cat in Paris" from France and "Chico & Rita" from Spain.

Inside the Producers Guild Awards with Spielberg and Jolie: 'The Artist' Wins Again

Stop the presses. "The Artist" has won the PGA's top prize for best theatrical motion picture. It will be hard to stop this train. Steven Spielberg, George Clooney, Viola Davis, and Melissa McCarthy were on hand for the 2012 Producers Guild Awards at the Beverly Hilton.
