SXSW Clip: Anticipated Debuting Director Adele Romanski's 'Leave Me Like You Found Me'

Director Adele Romanski will launch an anticipated directorial debut at SXSW with her film, "Leave Me Like You Found Me." In this carefully shot piece of realism, she tells the story of big trees and broken hearts as a lovesick couple attempt to repair their relationship while camping in California. Cannes Opening Film is Wes Anderson's 'Moonrise Kingdom'

The 65th Festival de Cannes will open May 16 with an American movie, "Moonrise Kingdom," the new film from Wes Anderson ("The Fantastic Mr. Fox"). Cannes will run from Wednesday May 16 to Sunday May 27. This year's Cannes jury is headed by Italian filmmaker Nanni Moretti ("We Have a Pope").

WATCH SXSW CLIP: Buzzed Music Doc 'Marley'

One of the films with great advance word at SXSW, which opens Friday, is Kevin Macdonald's "Marley," which screens at SXSW on Sunday. It debuted well in Berlin, where Magnolia Pictures scooped it up. (I skipped the advance vimeo link in favor of a live audience at the Paramount.) Magnolia will release "Marley" in theaters and on VOD April 20, 2012.

Film Festival Update: Vail, San Francisco, Sundance London (Video)

The 2012 Vail Film Festival's line-up of 58 films opens with the U.S. premiere of "The Eye of the Storm," which debuted in Toronto and opened in December in Australia (68% on RT).
