'My First Big Break': Spike Lee on Spike Lee [Video]

Spike Lee has the coolest-professor-ever vibe down, which makes sense after his 15-year stint teaching at NYU. In this video interview from journalism site Mediabistro, Lee talks like he's addressing a classroom of young filmmakers and creatives. He dispenses expert advice about how to fall in love with work and make the best of boredom. "My first big break came because I coudn't get a job," he says. He borrowed a friend's Super 8 camera and filmed New York in the summer of 1977 -- when New York was a broke city with record high temperatures and fabulous music at block parties. As Lee says: "Film found me. I didn't say I found film."

Trailer Watch: Sweet Wasikowska Goes Sadistic in Park Chan-wook's Deliciously Menacing 'Stoker'

Park Chan-wook ("Oldboy," "Thirst") is up to his devilishly stylish genre work again in this hypnotic new trailer for "Stoker," starring Nicole Kidman, Matthew Goode and a quietly ruthless Mia Wasikowska (packing heat! and a pencil!). Hitchcock's "Shadow of a Doubt" seems to be a major reference, as Goode plays Uncle Charlie, an outsider with murderous intentions who comes to stay with the two women.

Supercut: Starting in 1962, There Were Two Kinds of People in the World [Video]

James Chapman has created a brilliant and thoroughly shuffled supercut of a go-to screenwriting cliche: the binary beginning with "there are two kinds of people in the world." As far as we know, the earliest use of the line comes from 1962's "The Longest Day," a semi-historical film about D-Day.
