Spielberg and Day-Lewis to Talk 'Lincoln' during Live Q&A Session at AMC Theaters October 10

Following special screenings of "Lincoln" on October 10 in AMC Theaters in nine American cities, Steven Spielberg and Daniel Day-Lewis will participate in an interactive Q&A session via satellite where audience members can text questions to the discussion's moderator.

Von Trier's 'Gesamt' Project Asks Emerging Filmmakers to Reinterpret Six Major Works

In August 2012, Danish enfant terrible director Lars von Trier posed a challenge to the aspiring filmmakers of the world: Reinterpret one or more of six classic works into a film, video, still, or piece of music or soundpiece. True to Trier's apocalyptic leanings as of late, the project is titled "GESAMT - Disaster 501: What Happened to Man."

Warner Bros. Sets Tom Cruise-Starrer 'All You Need is Kill' for March 2014

Warner Bros. has set March 14, 2014, as the date for Doug Liman's sci-fi actioner "All You Need is Kill," starring Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt. The film is adapted from Hiroshi Sakurazaka's novel of the same title, centering on a soldier in an intergalactic war caught in a time loop where the day of his final battle must be played out over and over again. A bit like "Groundhog Day," but with ruthless aliens.

Academy Chases Young Male Demo with Oscar Host Seth MacFarlane [VIDEO]

At the HBO Emmy party last weekend, Seth MacFarlane was in good spirits as the question of his hosting the 85th Oscarcast made the rounds. He's a hit on TV ("Family Guy") and as host of several awards shows around town, including the WGA Awards.

'Paranormal Activity 4' Invites Fan Participation

When found-footage movie "Paranormal Activity" premiered in 2009, Paramount digital marketing started engaging with movie fans in a direct way. They encouraged viewers to create their own spoofs and renditions of the D-I-Y film.

Wes Bentley and Brit Marling Join Malick Collaborator AJ Edwards' Lincoln Drama, 'The Green Blade Rises'

Wes Bentley and Brit Marling have boarded "The Green Blade Rises," about Abraham Lincoln's early years. The film, from writer-director AJ Edwards and producers Terrence Malick, Nicolas Gonda and Charley Beil, will also star Diane Kruger and Jason Clarke as Lincoln's step-mother and father. Bentley will play Lincoln's first teacher and Marling will play his biological mother.

Wright's 'World's End' Goes Into Production, with Pegg, Frost, Freeman & Considine Heading Cast

Edgar Wright's "The World's End," his next team-up with co-writer Simon Pegg and the third installment in the loose trilogy with "Shaun of the Dead" and "Hot Fuzz," has gone into production. All the Wright usuals are onboard, with Nick Frost, Martin Freeman (soon to be known to the world as Bilbo Baggins) and Paddy Considine joining Pegg in the cast.
