Amazon Prime Instant Adds 'Fringe' & 'West Wing' to Library for a Supernatural-FBI-Clinton-Administration Summer

Fans of showrunner-creators Aaron Sorkin and J.J. Abrams will find this exciting: Amazon announces today a licensing agreement with Warner Bros. to add both "Fringe" and "The West Wing" to its Prime Instant Video library this summer. Both titles were previously unavailable.

PDA Releasing Katie Dellamaggiore's Chess doc 'Brooklyn Castle,' SXSW Audience Award Winner

Aussie Classic 'Wake in Fright' Rediscovered & Restored: Drafthouse Acquires for US Release this October

"Wake in Fright" goes to Drafthouse Films for US theatrical release after many thought it was lost. The thriller is considered a landmark film in the development of modern Australian cinema; it first debuted at Cannes in 1971 where it was nominated for the Palme d'Or. In 2009, guest-curator Martin Scorsese brought a restoration back to the fest.

Universal Russia To Release Eight Premium Pictures, Including Latest Chan and Schwarzenegger Flicks

As the studios puruse an increasingly global business, Universal Pictures International (UPI) Russia has closed a principal agreement with Moscow's Premium Film to release their upcoming slate of eight movies. Studio distributors dominate the Russian box office with Hollywood pictures.

Casting Watch: Williams Lines Up Two Movies to Start in July and September

Robins Williams has signed on to shoot two back-to-back movies. First up, he plays president Dwight D. Eisenhower in Lee Daniels' next film, "The Butler," which is scheduled to begin filming later this month in New Orleans. Williams joins a sprawling ensemble including Forest Whitaker, Oprah Winfrey, Vanessa Redgrave, John Cusack, and Jane Fonda.
