Andrew Stanton May Follow 'John Carter' Disaster with 'Finding Nemo 2'

Despite the disaster that was "John Carter," writer-director Andrew Stanton may take the reins on the sequel to his hugely successful "Finding Nemo," according to Deadline. Stanton has been integral to the success of Disney/Pixar, from writing "Toy Story," among other things, to directing Oscar-winning "Finding Nemo" (2003) and "Wall-E" (2008).

IN THE WORKS: Lionsgate adds 'Catching Fire' Cast, Seeks New Director for 'Mockingjay'; Depp Joins Anderson; Radcliffe & Kazan Say Yes to 'F Word'

Amanda Plummer ("Pulp Fiction," "The Fisher King") is signing on to play Wiress in "Catching Fire." This follows the announcement of Philip Seymour Hoffman as Plutarch Heavensbee and Jena Malone as Johanna in "The Hunger Games" sequel with Jennifer Lawrence and new director Francis Lawrence. Lionsgate is rushing the film to shoot this fall for a November 22, 2013 release.

Tom Hanks Goes Digital with Yahoo! Animated Web Series 'Electric City,' Voices Lead: "No one gets rich" (VIDEO)

At Comic-Con last weekend, web series were part of the story, as Bryan Singer and Tom Hanks both unveiled new onlie ventures. Tuesday Yahoo! launches the first ten 4-7-minute episodes of Hanks’ animated dystopian sci-fi adventure “Electric City." The next ten installments will be released on July 18 and 19.
