The critically acclaimed CBS summer series "Under the Dome" -- which nabbed the network very high ratings when it kicked off last Monday -- is now available to stream on Amazon Instant Video. New episodes will appear on the site four days after their original television air date. The pilot is currently available free of charge for Amazon Prime members and for purchase for all other customers. Forthcoming episodes, which air Mondays on CBS, will also be free for Prime subscribers.

Adapted from Stephen King's 1000-plus page science fiction opus of the same name, published in 2009, "Under the Dome" stars Mike Vogel, Rachel Lefevre and Dean Norris (Hank in "Breaking Bad"). The show is centered on the denizens of a small town cut off from the rest of the world by an enclosing, impenetrable barrier. Trailer below.
