Coen Brothers - Clean Coal

If you haven't seen the Coen Brothers' hilarious lampoon of the coal industry, Awards Daily has graciously re-posted the commercial for "Clean Coal" air freshener.

The ad was part of Al Gore's erstwhile Reality Coalition, which sought to debunk the idea of environmentally sustainable coal. Though the Coens know how to do serious drama -- as in the upcoming "Inside Llewyn Davis" about the 1960s folk music scene in Greenwich Village -- this ad is a playful reminder of the kind of darkly comedic irony they are so good at.
