It's late-December so all you'll be hearing for the next few months will be "12 Years a Slave" this and "Gravity" that -- but there were other great movies made in 2013 too, you know. And you can stream ten of them now on Netflix, Amazon and Fandor.

In the Works: Harmony Korine Signs On for Reported Southern Crime Film Following 'Spring Breakers' Success

In the wake of Harmony Korine's Disney-darlings-gone-wild "Spring Breakers" setting the opening record for a 2013 limited release title, the eclectic director has made a production deal for his next film. Title and log line are under wraps, but Deadline reports that it centers on a "multi-generational family of criminals in the South."

Arthouse Audit: Record Surprise 'Spring Breakers' Puts New Distrib A24 On Map

A24’s “Spring Breakers” opened to the most unexpected limited success of any film in recent history with a two-city $90,000 per screen average: this for a filmmaker (Harmony Korine) whose past films have struggled to gross that much during their entire runs.

Friday Box Office: 'Spring Breakers' Top Limited Opening of Year, 'Wonderstone' Underwhelms

A24’s SXSW hit “Spring Breakers” from veteran indie Harmony Korine opened in three New York/Los Angeles theaters to a stunning total of $95,000, by far the biggest limited opening of the year, and likely to approach a $100,000 per screen average for the weekend. To give some indication of what a shock this gross is, none of Kormine’s previous films have grossed as much in their entire runs as this likely will do for it opening weekend.

Harmony Korine's 'Spring Breakers' Goes to Annapurna Pictures
