For John Bruno, it was surreal directing James Cameron's record-breaking solo voyage into the deepest part of the ocean in the Mariana Trench for the "Deepsea Challenge 3D" doc. That's because the journey into the abyss this time was real after first working with Cameron as VFX supervisor on "The Abyss" 26 years ago.

'James Cameron's Deepsea Challenge 3D' Diving Into Theaters This Summer

DisruptiveLA has scooped up stateside rights to the documentary "James Cameron's Deep Sea Challenge 3D," following the "Avatar" director's lifelong dream of becoming an explorer. As in his films, Cameron does nothing in small measure -- this doc captures him making history by becoming the first person to travel solo to the deepest point of the ocean (and planet).

James Cameron Lines Up Potential Post-'Avatar' Directing Vehicle 'The Informationist' Centering on Strong Female Protagonist

James Cameron and his Lightstorm Entertainment producing partner Jon Landau have nabbed rights to Taylor Stevens' 2011 novel "The Informationist." Cameron is considering directing the film for 20th Century Fox, but not until after his two "Avatar" sequels which will be shot concurrently.

'MythBusters' Confronts James Cameron on Jack's Needless Death in 'Titanic'

For last few months since he released "Titanic" in 3-D, James Cameron claims he receives dozens of emails a day - quibbling that Rose is selfish, Jack is foolish, and both of them could have easily fit on the floating board and waited for rescue during the sinking of the ship.
