WATCH: Provocative 'Men, Women & Children' Trailer From Jason Reitman

Yesterday it was announced that Jason Reitman's new film "Men, Women and Children" will have an October 3 limited release. Today, this tale of modern American sexual frustration gets its first teaser trailer ahead of its Toronto premiere in September. It is artful, and provocative, and lonely-looking.

Jason Reitman's 'Labor Day' Is a Suspenseful Romantic Heart-Tugger (TRAILER)

Jason Reitman saw a movie in Joyce Maynard's 2010 novel "Labor Day." And what a movie it is. Fair to say it works as a tearjerker. Reitman pulls off a deceptively straightforward romance that seems old-fashioned given the current studio antipathy toward dramas.

Toronto International Film Festival, Day Two: from Penn & Teller's 'Tim's Vermeer' and Fiennes' 'Invisible Woman' to Reitman's 'Boogie Nights'

An almost perfect film festival day, including two excellent documentaries, one feature that surprised and delighted me, another that was interesting and novel, and one of Jason Reitman's patented table reads: the cherry on a sundae. Began with "Tim's Vermeer," the documentary about a wealthy, eccentric multi-millionaire, Tim Jensen, who spends lots of money and time trying to duplicate a Vermeer by using a camera obscura and mirror contraption. The movie is directed by Teller and features jovial, whimsical commentary by Penn Jillette.

TIFF: Brody Day One - 'No,' 'Anna Karenina,' 'Kinshasa Kids,' 'On the Road' & Reitman's 'American Beauty'

A leisurely (if lengthy) trip from Telluride to Toronto on Tuesday, intending to get me to the Toronto International Film Festival more than a full day in advance of its Thursday, September 6 opening, hit a snag, after a three-hour van ride to Grand Junction and an hour plane trip to Denver...
