Alfonso Cuaron Wins Best Director at DGA Awards (FULL WINNERS LIST)

Historically speaking, whoever wins the 2014 Directors Guild of America Award for Best Director becomes the likely winner at the Academy Awards. This year, "Gravity" director Alfonso Cuaron won the feature film prize at the DGAs and should start getting ready to say hello to Oscar. WATCH: Martin Scorsese Interviews Wong Kar-wai on Oscar Shortlisted 'The Grandmaster'

On January 8, Martin Scorsese sat down with Wong Kar-wai at New York's Lighthouse Theatre to talk the latter's "The Grandmaster," shortlisted for a Best Foreign-Language Film Oscar. Incredibly, Wong has yet to receive a nomination from the Academy. But that could be rectified this coming Thursday, when the 2014 nominations list will be rolled out bright and early at 5:38am PST.

Martin Scorsese was in good humor on January 6's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," where he addressed the heated controversy surrounding his big-screen adaptation of Jordan Belfort's memoir, "The Wolf of Wall Street." The director told Kimmel's sidekick Guillermo that despite any reports to the contrary, no werewolves are to be found in the film.
