A new trailer for the fourth season of "Downton Abbey" has landed. This spot strikes an upbeat tone with Maggie Smith's Dowager Countess advising grieving widow Lady Mary (Michelle Dockery) to choose life over death. Watch below.

In terms of fourth season casting additions, no sign of Paul Giamatti yet, but we do get a glimpse of Gary Carr (pictured at right), who plays jazz musician Jack Ross. Meanwhile, the main storyline of this season will reportedly center on Mary's three new suitors (played by Tom Cullen, Julian Ovenden and Brendan Patrick).

"Downton" airs in the UK this month, and stateside on PBS January 5.
