Ex-AFI Fest artistic director Rose Kuo (who is covering Sundance with screenwriter husband Larry Gross for Movie City News) has landed on her feet with a gig as co-executive director of the Santa Fe Film Festival with Michael Hare, managing director of Santa Fe's Mojo Raid Entertainment II.

Fred Roos and Val Kilmer introduced Kuo to the Santa Fe Fest, which launches its 11th go-round in October. Jon Bowman retired from the festival late last year.

Kuo has worked for the Mill Valley, San Francisco and Santa Barbara film fests, as well as directors Michael Mann, Paul Schrader and Martin Scorsese. In December, the International Film Festival Summit honored her with its Excellence Award.
