Google reports that the most viewed trailer of the year was from a video game: Activision's "Call of Duty Black Ops 2." On the movie side, the most viewed movie trailer was Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight Rises." Seth MacFarlane's "Ted," "Hunger Games," and "Skyfall" were also in the mix. Only one television show was a factor: NBC and J.J. Abrams' "Revolution."
YouTube calculated both number of views, the length of time people watched the clip, and how many people sought out the clip (searching rather than clicking on an ad). Here's their Top Ten:
