As part of the New York Film Festival’s 50th edition, The Film Society of Lincoln Center is putting on their first-ever presentation of NYFF Convergence, running September 29-30, in the Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center. Convergence will offer panels, workshops and Immersive Experiences for participating transmedia creators and fans, beginning with a keynote conversation with director/producer Tommy Pallota and the Film Linc’s Eugene Herdandez.

Hernandez states:

“The way stories are being told is changing, or rather expanding, thanks to new tools and technologies that allow storytellers to engage and involve an audience in new ways. With NYFF Convergence we're focusing expressly on those artists and filmmakers rather than the technology.”

The Society has also booked three films for its first-ever Midnight Movies sidebar presentation; Barry Levinson’s “The Bay,” Peter Strickland’s “Berberian Sound Studio” and Takashi Kitano’s “Outrage Beyond,” as listed below.

Details on the Convergence offerings below. More information is available here.
