Pretty soon our smart phones are going to be smarter than we are. Movietickets.com announced today that it is joining with location-based social networking site foursquare for the debut of foursquare's new events feature. Foursquare allows users to check in at specific locations and venues for points and badges--and annoy their Twitter followers with announcements of their mayoral appointments.

Widely-used advance ticketing service Movietickets.com's partnering with foursquare's events feature will allow users to check both showtimes and movie summaries as well as purchase tickets through the foursquare application. iPhone users can download an update today to the foursquare app to start using the new feature, while other platforms will have to wait a little longer for compatibility.

This is something similar to what myBantu does. myBantu is an iPhone and Android app. One can get the nearest theater details, movie showtimes, watch trailers, read reviews and also purchase tickets instantly.
    Check www.mybantu.com for more info.
