Gary Oldman will be joining Jason Clarke and Kodi-Smit McPhee to star in Matt Reeves' "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes." He will play Dreyfus, the leader of the human resistance. The Fox film is slated for a May 2014 release, just months after he stars in Sony's "Robocop" with Joel Kinnaman. Oldman's days in the Batman franchise as Commissioner Gordon ended with last year's "The Dark Knight Rises."

Jason Clarke made a name for himself as the man enforcing "enhanced interrogations" in Kathryn Bigelow's "Zero Dark Thirty."
