Mel Gibson may direct Leonardo DiCaprio in a Viking adventure, reports Variety. The Departed scripter William Monahan will write for producer Graham King. I like this combo. Gibson will get down and dirty with this, as he did with The Passion of the Christ and Apocalypto. He's a gifted director.

DiCaprio will likely take a film before putting on the Viking horns. He just completed the Christopher Nolan-directed “Inception” for Warner Bros., and will next be seen in the Martin Scorsese-directed “Shutter Island,” which Paramount releases February 19. Gibson just completed the Jodie Foster-directed “The Beaver.”

Great director, sounds like a great film. Can't wait!!!! Sure the Jews hate Gibson, but they hate anyone who makes films about Jesus. In fact Jews hate Jesus...they killed Jesus! So screw the Jews, the grateful twerps. If you love Jesus you got to side on the side of Gibson here.

Wonder how Gibson will manage to work in his trademark anti-Semitism into this one?
