GLAAD Announces Media Award Nominees

GLAAD, the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, has announced the full list of nominees for its 23rd annual GLAAD Media Awards, which honor inclusive and accurate representations of the LGBT community in film, music and television.  

Nominees this year include the films "Beginners," "Albert Nobbs" and "J. Edgar," along with the TV shows "Shameless," "The Big C," "Glee," "Modern Family," "NCIS" and "Dancing with the Stars." In music, Lady Gaga was recognized for her album "Born This Way," while Ricky Martin was nominated for his "Música + Alma + Sexo."

The GLAAD award ceremonies will take place in three parts across the country: New York on March 24, Los Angeles on April 21 and San Francisco on June 2.
