THE LONELIEST PLANET has played dozens of US and international festivals since its debut at Locarno - and has won numerous awards along the way - including Beat Feature Film at AFI Fest. As it's release date is October 26 - six days in the future, of course it hasn't gained traction with movie goers yet - not that seems to be a problem for you with Silver Linings Playbook and The Sessions. What is a micro-indie anyway? This seems an odd description from something called Indiewire.

Hi Anne,I think you're confused- The Loneliest Planet hasn't been released yet. It opens next week from Sundance Select. It was in the Locarno, Toronto and the New York Film Festival last year.Marie Therese

"Surprise feature nominee was the "The Loneliest Planet," a micro-indie directed by Julia Loktev that has yet to gain traction with moviegoers (it opens October 26, more than a year after its Locarno debut)." How can you say the film hasn't "gained traction with moviegoers" if it hasn't even been released yet? LOL. What have you got against The Loneliest Planet?

When more people see this film Middle of Nowhere watch out. Caught it at TIFF on an accident really and was taken aback by its understated power and the skill of the filmmaking, especially when every single person in and involved with it I'd never heard of. I find it great that the Gothams saw the same. iIt'll be a hard road but it deserves to be seen and considered.
