Sandra Bullock in "Gravity"

Check out this week's NY Times Anatomy of a Scene video feature, where director Alfonso Cuaron talks upcoming release "Gravity" (October 4).

In the featured scene, which has been the focus point of a number of the film's trailers, Sandra Bullock and George Clooney deal with an increasingly terrifying accident in space. Cuaron discusses his vision of shooting the scene in one shot, to mimic space documentaries, and to give viewers a feeling that they too are floating alongside Bullock and Clooney.

Our TOH! review of "Gravity" is here. Plus, watch the new featurette "Experience the Third Dimension," below.

The New York Times' Science Times section this week already did an article on GRAVITY picking apart the "orbital" plot hole in it, mainly the impossibility of being able to travel in space without a craft from the Hubble Telescope to the Space Station. It would be like swimming to London from the Caribbean!
