It makes sense that Hollywood Wiretap might drive more industry eyeballs to a low-profile site that could actually prove useful to Hollywood professionals.
HOLLYWOOD WIRETAP 05.07.12
Dear Wiretap subscribers,
I am proud to announce that Hollywood Wiretap and Studio System are combining to form Studio System News. Wiretap’s news aggregation breadth and Studio System’s vast industry data and 30 years of experience are uniting to form an exciting new destination. In the coming days, the Wiretap URL will redirect to a newly-designed site that will be located at www.studiosystemnews.com.
Please be assured that Wiretap is not fundamentally changing. You will continue to receive a 2x daily summary newsletter with direct links to the most pertinent news as bolstered by the Studio System staff and entertainment database. I remain editor-in-chief and would like to welcome Ryan Dixon as editor of the new site.
From studio chiefs to moguls, agents, executives, indie producers, financiers, lawyers, publicists, film school students & professors, journalists & bloggers, hobbyists and family & friends: Many of you have been with Wiretap since it started in 2006 and I thank you for your loyalty.
Please don’t hesitate to contact me directly with any concerns or comments.
My very best,
Nancy

Only one tiny problem with this merger. HW's front page ROCKED, while the new StudioSystem front page SUCKS.
