Eleven new character posters have been released for Lionsgate's upcoming and feverishly anticipated "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire," starring Jennifer Lawrence as warrior and emerging leader Katniss Everdeen. Adapted from the 2009 sci-fi novel by Suzanne Collins, this film is the sequel to the 2012 box office smash. Lionsgate will be promoting the film this weekend at Comic-Con, where the studio will debut the full theatrical trailer.

The posters showcase returning cast members Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson in full gear, as well as new faces Jena Malone and Jeffrey Wright. "Catching Fire" is directed by Francis Lawrence ("I Am Legend") and is slated for US release on November 22, 2013. Posters below, and more after the jump. Here's the official synopsis:

"The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a "Victor’s Tour" of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.
