Principal photography has begun in Belgrade, Serbia and Budapest, Hungary on Charlie Stratton's "Therese," an erotic thriller based on Emilie Zola's novel "Therese Raquin."

Set in the underbelly of 1860s Paris, Therese (Elizabeth Olsen) is a repressed and beautiful young woman trapped by a loveless marriage to her sickly cousin, Camille (Tom Felton, of the "Harry Potter" franchise) and a domineering aunt (Jessica Lange).  When Therese meets an alluring friend of her aunt's, Laurent (Oscar Isaacs), they begin an illicit affair with tragic consequences.
