Director James Gray will chair the competition jury of the upcoming Rome Film Festival, running November 8-17.

Gray will be joined by six other jury members, to be announced in the coming weeks. The jury will present the festival awards for Best Film, Director, Best Actor and Actress, Emerging Actor and Actress, Screenplay, Technical Contribution, and a Special Jury prize.

Gray's fifth feature, "The Immigrant," starring Marion Cotillard, Joaquin Phoenix and Jeremy Renner, premiered at Cannes back in May. Our TOH! review is here. In the pipeline for Gray is "The Lost City of Z," with Benedict Cumberbatch attached, centering on 1920s Brit explorer Percy Fawcett, who mysteriously never returned from an expedition into the Amazonian jungle; and the pilot episode of the Sundance Channel's police drama "The Red Road."
