Jennifer Lawrence

Jennifer Lawrence has come a long way since 2010's "Winter's Bone." She landed a Best Actress nomination for that hardscrabble drama, won the Oscar for "Silver Linings Playbook" and a supporting actress nomination for "American Hustle." But it's her franchise roles as Katniss Everdeen in the "Hunger Games" franchise and Mystique in the "X-Men" series that earned her a place at the top of Forbes' most powerful actresses list--and 12th overall. Forbes estimates that she earned $34 million last year. Bravo.

For those of you on EPIX, the site will stream back-to-back viewings of "The Hunger Games" and the world television premiere of "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,"  as well as EPIX's exclusive look at the making of "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" with never before seen footage on Saturday, July 26 (on EPIX, EPIX-On-Demand, EPIX.com and all EPIX apps).

So glad for her. She absolutely deserves it! She's a real phenomenon. She’s a superstar and an acting genius at the same time. If one tries to think of similar examples, he's immediately stuck. Lawrence has an towering, almost otherwordly talent in acting and a truly unmatched star power, yet her demeanor is so human and down to earth, she really becomes one of us. It's obvious why she managed to become everyone's imaginary BFF and the ideal role model for young people all over the world. It's so refreshing to watch someone realizing how ridiculous Hollywood can be and who's not at all afraid of showing it and speak for things like the industry's obsession with body image and the sexualization of young actresses in this day and age. Her authentic, unpretentious and deliciously spontaneous personality brings a breath of a fresh air in a suffocating show business universe that celebrates inauthenticity. She's clearly not interested at all in playing the Hollywood game and that's truly remarkable. She can look stunning on a red carpet, but she's her goofy, quirky and hilarious self even there. Keep on being yourself, Jen. You really rock.

Sorry to inform you, James M., but it seems you're clearly unfamiliar with the meaning of the words you use. There's nothing fawning, obsequious or fangirlish in admiring an extremely gifted person and expressing it in a well-intentioned and articulate way. Personally, I'm in awe of Jennifer Lawrence's phenomenal talent in acting and I can't help but praise someone that young and successful for being a normal, self-depracating, unapologetically goofy and obviously smart and sarcastic person, who keeps on embracing the "flaws" we all have, in an industry that foolishly keeps on building a fake and pretentious image for anyone involved. And trust me, man, there are few things that bore me more than arguing online for anything with a narrow-minded and terribly boring person as you clearly are. Good luck with the serious problems you so evidently have.

Stergios, I don't think anyone has an issue with your obvious love for Jennifer Lawrence. It's your fawning, obsequious, practically fangirlish approach that's wholly off-putting.

I don't know if "Jennifer Lawrence's MANAGER" reads Indiewire, ooooooooooooooooooo-kay?????????, but that's certainly not me. I'm not her manager or whatever crap one may think, I'm just a movies lover by birth and I can acknowledge Jennifer Lawrence as a singular talent and at the same time as an effortlessly real, smart and sarcastic person. Sorry I choose to write for people I love and not for people I hate, which is the most common thing in this day and age.

My farts are more powerful than her or anything Forbes could ever speak upon.
