Writer/director Spike Jonze, production designer KK Barrett and chanteuse Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs also graced KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic studio with a live performance of "The Moon Song" from Jonze's Best Picture contender "Her." Warner Bros. has also revealed a new featurette for the song. Watch below.

Singer-songwriter Karen O will perform the acoustic number, up for the Best Original Song Oscar, at the Academy Awards on March 2. Karen and Jonze previously collaborated on the soundtrack for his 2009 film "Where the Wild Things Are."

Accompanied in the film by Joaquin Phoenix's ukelele, "The Moon Song" may be a bit twee for some Oscar voters, but with Karen O's honeyed vocals and Jonze and Barrett on guitar, it's still pretty sweet and charming. (Fun fact: Karen O and Spike Jonze are old flames.)
