"A Most Wanted Man"

Lionsgate has snapped up US rights for spy thriller "A Most Wanted Man," starring Philip Seymour Hoffman, Rachel McAdams, Robin Wright and Willem Dafoe. The film is helmed by Anton Corbijn ("The American"), and adapted from the novel by John Le Carre.

Andrew Bovell penned the script. The story follows a Chechen-Russian immigrant who travels to Hamburg, Germany to collect his late father's fortune, which may have been acquired by dubious means; US and German secret agents, including Hoffman as chief of a spy unit, are put on alert.

No word yet on a stateside release date.
