-As Viki, the international video site, approaches 10 million unique visitors, the video company has plans to sign deals with BBC and Netflix. The site relies on users and volunteers to translate movies and TV shows into more than a hundred languages. Viki has signed new licensing deals with BBC Worldwide and Netflix to acquire premium content and plans to expand its content to Hulu.

One of Viki's potential new partners, Wall Street success Netflix, does not have such encouraging news. Its shares plunged 19% after 600,000 subscribers left because of the media sharing site's controversial price hikes. This leaves 24 million users in the US rather than the expected 25 million.
