The venerable NYT is trying to keep up with changing times via a daily video TimesCast, which is not unlike Fox's entertaining TMZ newsroom, but instead of Harvey Levin and his junior celebrity hounds, we get NYT editor Bill Keller and his well-informed senior staff. Why supply their best journalists to feed Charlie Rose's viewership when the NYT can catch more online traffic?

I love this behind-the-scenes taste of what goes on at the NYT. It invites people in, luring them to dig deeper into the site. (Needless to say, they're selling ads, too.)

Check it out.
