Now in the thick of its second season, FOX's "The Mindy Project" was just renewed for a third season. Much like HBO's "Girls," "Mindy" revolves around the professional and romantic foibles of a flawed, flustered but career-driven young woman. She describes it as both a workplace sitcom and a "dating show about people who are loosely bonded by their work but are desperately single and want to form relationships."

Kaling recently spoke candidly with Charlie Rose about race and women. Read highlights and watch video here.
