We know Rooney Mara (Lisbeth Salander) is meant to look intimidating in this picture, but it will be tough for even David Fincher to top the romantic and horrific elevator scene in Nicolas Winding Refn's yet-to-be released Drive. With four months to go until the December 21 release of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, we're hoping Sony saves a few of the best images for the big screen.

There are more new images at Empire to add to the others released last week. More of Daniel Craig as Mikael Blomkvist below.

    Oh do We, now?
Anne, what are you talking about?

I believe we're actually supposed to wonder why a grown man is shrinking away from an unarmed 4'11" person in a hoodie in this shot. Why even think to bring up DRIVE in relation to these new THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO shots unless you have some desire to manufacture competition between these two films, for no good reason whatsoever? Even if they do both have scenes which show humans riding in elevators (??) it seems odd and even vaguely sort of creepy for you to make such a ham-fisted attempt to divert attention away from these stills to an unrelated production.. The tone of your entry actually sort of makes me annoyed with DRIVE before I've even seen it, and that means you're doing a poor job.
