Films from director Nancy Meyers are characterized by the characters' unattainably perfect homes. While part of the appeal is the fantasy of these elegantly cozy magazine-perfect interiors, Meyers is currently guest editing a home decor auction to help your life become a little more breezily impeccable.
Which movie is most popular among the shoppers? As of writing, the pieces from the "It's Complicated" collection have sold the most, with 21 items of the 84 already claimed and many more on hold. Items from the cottage set from "The Holiday" follow with 20 of its 73 items sold out.
At Meyers' auction, you can purchase rag rugs, impressionistic paintings of seascapes, and throw-pillows to give you the casual and crisp beachiness from "Something's Gotta Give." A sculptural vase or two could give you the look of the sleek Los Angeles pad from "The Holiday," while the English cottage collection even includes a standing tub in addition to antique crockery and a teapot.
Of course all these items come at a (not insignificant) price. Like Meyers' movies, just gazing at these interior designs solely for the eye-candy is totally pleasurable.
