Summit introduced their grown-up thriller Red at Comic-Con, where star Helen Mirren wore an American Splendor t-shirt in solidarity with the late great Harvey Pekar.

Based on the D.C. Comics graphic novel, the movie is about a gang of retired top CIA agents who band together when someone decides to frame and put them out of commission permanently. It seems that their skills are still pretty formidable. Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich, Karl Urban, Mary Louise Parker, Brian Cox and Richard Dreyfuss also star in the film written by Jon Hoeber and Erich Hoeber and directed by Robert Schwentke.

The PG-13 flick opens wide on October 15.
