Tarsem Singh's Immortals comes out in 3-D November 11. It stars Henry Cavill, Luke Evans (Zeus, pictured), Mickey Rourke, Freida Pinto (Phaedra, pictured), Isabel Lucas, John Hurt, Kellan Lutz, Stephen Dorff and Joseph Morgan. Singh is also directing Relativity's Untitled Snow White, so when Immortals premieres it could forecast things to come.
Here's the trailer.

Saw the trailer for this in front of BRIDESMAIDS(!). Looks like it's 95% CGI. I can't stand movies that look like that. Why don't they just make it 100% animated? (Same complaint I had about GREEN LANTERN.)
Go back to Ray Harryhausen films like JASON AND THE ARGONAUTS (1963) and CLASH OF THE TITANS (1981). Sure, there was lots of stop-motion animation in front of rear-screen projection--but every shot that didn't involve effects was shot ON LOCATION!!!! Y'know, in REAL settings, with REAL sun and sky and REAL sand and beaches and mountains and cliffs, etc. Something we don't see in special effects movies anymore.

Looks like "Immortals" would be rated R (which is rare for the films that cost at least $100 million to make).
